Whitecross "Nineteen Eighty Seven" Christian Hard Rock/Metal 11 or 15-Tracks Rating- 9.85 (Scale of 1-10) by C.W. Ross

With this release the band takes a step back in time and freshens it up. While this is an all new recording it pulls its' content from the band's 1987 self-titled debut release.

All but one song from that release, "You're Mine" is on this newly recorded release.

You'll also find two additional songs on the CD. Those songs are "Love On The Line," a song never released on CD before and the totally new song "Re:Animate."

For those of you not old enough to remember the band from their twelve releases in the 80's and 90's this band broke down the door for 'Christian Headbangers' with their music.

Be sure that you have your fire insurance paid up to date before you play this CD because it's filled with flaming red hot guitar riffs from legendary band guitarist Rex Carroll.

You'll also find pounding drum work so earth shattering that it could be used to drill holes to the center of the earth from Mike Feighan.

If that's not enough you'll also find Scott Wenzel's vocals, that in my opinion have the perfect tone and pitch to get the best out of each rocking song.

This CD is all about making the decision for Jesus in your life and then living your life all out for Him.

This band's music and lyrics cross any man made boundaries and would make a great gift to give an unsaved friend.

You may have noticed in the track numbers I list two different numbers. That's because the first 2,000 pressing of the CD include four extra hidden tracks that are taken from the release's recording sessions.

The four tracks last around 7-8 minutes and feature mostly guitar parts.

I have given this CD the highest rating of any that I have reviewed since I started using a numbers rating system and it's well deserved.

Unfortunately I think that it will be along time until I get the chance again to hear hard rocking music as good as what I've heard on this CD

So this release will be spending a lot of time in my CD player!
